This astonishing gemstones is a concave inlaid pinefire opal in optical quartz. That makes it technically a composite of Arkansas Quartz and Mintabie Opal. The stones originate from the United States and Australia respectively, but it takes the one and only Mark Oros to inlay them together with perfect precision so that the opal forms the focal point for Bob Keller’s famous Cleopatra’s Eye design.
Before you write to ask, yes, that is the correct price. I know the work that Mark puts into these inlays, this is a steal at that price.
