Beyond chonky, this 73 carat, flawless Rose D’France Amethyst is from Bolivia.
It is cut in a new design concept which invites the beholder to enter into a new world through the gemstones’s portal. Looking through it makes me feel like the world has finally been brought into unity. How long can you be satisfied by admiring this gemstone from the side? Or more frustratingly, how long can gaze at it about 30-degrees off-center? Do you feel the pull? Is it that you feel it’s eccentricity, a top-heaviness that wants to pull you over? Or is it that you simply are done with concealment? The pull of that center portal is like gravity, can you even resist? Anyway, with the payoff being such a stable, calm and perfect geometry, who would want to? And why would one ever leave this gemstone’s new lavender world?
