Details:
This stone may not be subtle, but if you’re looking to create a statement piece to complement something simple like a little black dress, this may be what you’re looking for. Cut from a boule of Verneuil method synthetic sapphire in #55SP (often referred to as padparadscha color), this stone is a vibrant orangish pink. I wouldn’t call this stone color shift, but it does have different personality in different lighting environments ranging from bold neon colours to a quieter hot pink-orange.
Being synthetic the piece is loop clean, and it maintains the same Mohs rating as natural sapphire (9), making it a durable, easy wearing gem that you don’t have to worry about.
Narcolepsy is also a great cut-shape. Its inherent geometry is a modified octagon, so it plays equally well with rounds and squares, allowing you maximum flexibility in your design of your jewelry piece.
