Details:

If you are looking for something rare and individual, look no further. This is a Kenyan color-change garnet. Shifting from grey-mauve to cherry pink, the mutability and color-change of this stone are magic.

Predominantly spessartine but with some almandine in its mixture, this stone has a higher RI than many other garnets species which leads to very little windowing in this cut gem. Precision faceted in a custom design tailored to the shape of rough, everything unique that nature intended is on display in this gem.

While loupe clean stones make gorgeous gems, a different kind of magic is created when a stone displays evidence of its formation. Such is the case with this stone containing both sugar and rutile needles. While these are barely visible to the naked eye, these clarity features are in full display in these high magnification macro photos. Some refer to stones with these extra sparkles and ray-like needles as “galaxy stones”, but we think the beauty of this particular gem goes beyond that.
