Details:

This parcel is a great match for folks who want to work through the 12 Stones designs after lessons with Hashnu.  It will build on techniques and lap progressions you’re familiar with, while allowing you to work into new materials in a logical manner. The fire opal will give you a bit of a change from quartz, but uses the same cutting and polishing lap progression as quartz.  Topaz is a great stone to work with as you move to diamond for polishing, and it should reward you with great polish and higher RI. As your skills build, and you hit those last cuts, the Beryl family and Tourmaline will give you something super gemmy to work with, especially for the emerald cut, and “Frost Star Hex” should really shine in the medium tone amethyst.

Includes: Golden Citrine, Ametrine, Verde Quartz, Fire Opal, Topaz, Goshenite, Morganite, Aquamarine, Tourmaline and Medium Amethyst

Total Weight grams: 67.2 g

Total Weight Carats: 336.1 ctw

Notes: It is possible to switch up the cut match for the morganite and aqua. The goshenite is clean so a great way to start, but the morganite has inclusions that will likely be visible and the aqua has some small challenges, silk and/or pinpoints, but it will likely create an eye clean stone. Currently the Aqua is matched for cut 10, as the last beryl cut because it’s most $$, but that is a brilliant cut so might fade the color. I rather like the Morganite for cut 10, and the aqua for Cut 11, the oval, which would likely get a color boost from the barion, but this is a great place for the student to decide what they’re comfortable doing with a more valuable stone.
