Details:
We mentioned the idea of glowy gemstones in a previous listing, and this lucky gemstone falls into that trend as well. The glowy appearance comes from consistent velvety silk inclusions throughout the crystal. Sapphires are most known for this effect, but it is also the case with this very lovely, very glowy garnet.
This is purple garnet from Tanga, Tanzania. And, in addition to glowing, it has a lovely and pronounced color-shift between a purple, magenta and fire-engine red depending on whether you’re viewing it in cool or fluorescent light, mixed lighting or warm, incandescent light.
Did we also mention this stone is LARGE. Weighing in at 5.11 carats and measuring over a centimetre, this gemstone will easily be the magical, eye-catching centrepiece of something wonderful.
Lots of pictures included with this listing so you’re sure to get a sense of the gemstone’s full personality. Although in these macro photos you can see the full details of the silk, in real life you just see the glow.
