Details:

There are few words more on trend right now than “glowy,” but did you know that it’s not just your skin that can glow? Gemstones do it, too.  Well, lucky gemstones like this one do. The glowy appearance comes from consistent velvety silk inclusions throughout the crystal. Sapphires are most known for this effect, but it is also the case with this very lovely, very glowy garnet.

This is pyrope garnet from Tanga, Tanzania. And, in addition to glowing, it has a lovely and pronounced color-shift between a strawberry or fire-engine red in warm or incandescent light and magenta in cool or fluorescent light. How much magic does one stone need?

Lots of pictures included with this listing so you’re sure to get a sense of the gemstone’s full personality. Although in these macro photos you can see the full details of the silk, in real life you just see the glow.
